well,that's cause i kinda have forgotten abt u!!hehe..
i know..i'm sorry..its just that these few weeks i have been mugging and studying for my stupid exams which are not even my finals...

if u ever visit my fb, u'll realise that i've been playing a lot of those games on fb while i was bored studying..*hehe...*

anyway, i'm still in the midst of my exams *and this time its the finals* but i'm jsut too bored to get moving...so i decided to write a lil' stg here..
u see the thing abt this exam is that i don really feel the stress..its like there are too many exams and it just takes the scariness of the exams away!!!sigh..does anyone ever feel that way??
well, i'd better get back to reading abt small babies and the way ladies give birth...

cake making ...

first things first..hmm..i wanna stress that pauleen lim does not brag a lot..or rather not at all..right??right??
hmm..ok..here goes...let me jsut brag this once...pls...pls..

i made it!!!!.
i'm now officially a cheese cake 'maker'...
*note* i said maker and not baker...
that's because i do not have an oven here in miserable ol sp..so i had to come up with other ways to make delicious cheese cakes..so..here goes..
so far, i've succeded in making 2!!
u got it? 2 cheesecakes..hehe..

well, they prob do not look as nice as they taste but trust me..nobody got diarrhoea after eating that, so i guess i succeded...and the blueberrry cake gave me a lil trouble cos of the stupid whipped cream i put on top of the cake..
jsut to decorate the cake..
to make it freeze, it needs to be in the freezer but the cake will be too hard..put it in the fridge and the whipped cream melts...

ah..wat the hell..so i put hte whole thing in the freezer..but it turned out all right..hehe..
all this was meant for vday as well as M's bday..

it took a lot of trouble, u know...had to lie to him in the face here and there..and me being quite a bad liar, had him suspect me numerous times...
BUT still, i made it...he had no clue about a cake..

okie..i think i've bragged enough...

just wanna say a big thank u to all my friends out there who remembered me n my birthday!!!hehe..
my bday fell on the day of my stupid bedside exam and it was postponed by the rest..LOL.
anyway, it was fun eating all i could at htat steamboat bbq that was way tooo hot to be located in msia..

a trip to be remembered...

Its been a while.. i know i know..i told myself to update this blog as often as possible..but i just cant find the time or even if i do, i'm just too lazy...ehehe..ookok...
here goes..a week before cny, we made an impromptu trip to langkawi..
well, someone suggested going somewhere for the weekend and someone else suggested that since we'd always gone south whenever we go on hols,we decided to go north this time..and where in north, LANGKAWI!!!!!

hehe..well, we decided to go the 2 days aft we suggested and after asking around, 12 of us decided to go....we went in 3 cars all the way to kuala kedah and then we took a package fr the jetty for our hotel stay and the van that can accomodate all 12 of us pigs as well as the package for the islang hopping..hehe..for me, the first thing that came to my mind about langkawi was hte BEACH and the LIQUOR..and i got enough of both..hhee.

on the 1st night after half a day travelling, we decided to eat at a seafood restaurant in town but the food there wasn't great..and the lady who entertained us was so cocky that i decided to take a pic of her n publicise her..hhaha..

while eating, we suddenly rememebred that the shops closed kinda early, so we rushed out to go buy liquor..hahaa..i mean in langlawi, liquour is very imp..wat with the tax free prices and all..wat is a trip to langkawi if it ain't wiht liquor..hehee..

so we bought several light drinks like kampai and ethel and some girls bought Baileys irish cream liquor intending to try that very night...hehe.. then bbc bought amarula a coffee liquor also with the very thought of trying that very night..when we got back to the hotel, laughign like a bunch of monkeys, we rushed to the beach behind our hotel and drank there..

oh yeah, i forgot to mention!!i bought a vanilla flavoured cigar..and to tell u the truth, even though it looked quite cool, it was nt cool smoking a cigar..it totally clogged up half my mouth n lungs..haha..i know, i'm exaggerating..but still, i didnt like it..mark loved it and i had to stop him fr finishing up my cigar..he had his rum flavoured one, mind u..hehe..
so anway, after we drank n talked and played at the beach for wat seemed like hours, we trudged up back to the hotel where all of us bathed while some played cards while waiting for the girls....(sorry, pics aren't with me yet..will get it soon n update)
well, here comes the best part, all fell asleep!!! without trying out our LIQUOURS!!!!!!haha..wat a waste..

2nd day:
we woke up early to go island hopping and the sun was blazing hot..i mean shouldn't the sun be a bit merciful to us who look like we're tanned even if we do not want to, and give their wonderful rays to those who desperately need it??anyway, the speed boat ride was amazing ...way wonderful..the guide drove really fast and with every bump and splash we'd all scream..and the water splashed into our faces and with the wind in the air,and the sun on our faces, the water felt glorious...


we went to the eagle feeding island and then we went to the pulau beras basah where we found some sea cucumbers...well, these aren't the ones that cna be eaten..zh did a little shaking movement wiht it, and some sticky, white liquid oozed out of it..haha.reminded us of semen..hahahaha...and then we went to the maiden's island..legend has it that if u bathe in its water, you get pregnant..well, i did..but i sure did not get pregnant..hehee


anyway, at ard 4, we took our lunch and took the van out for the trip around the island...we stopped here n there, and did a little shopping here n there..we went to the black sand beach wehre i collected the sand to be kept into a bottle..hehe..n we watched a very beautiful sunset there..

2nd day night: we had dinner at ard 9 at a very nice thai restaurant where we had seafood agn..and this time the food was delicious..hhaha.that night mark n fahmi bought a JD whiskey ..to have our session for that night..hehe..


before....after...(hahah)
so back to the hotel we went...and this time we had our drinking spree..hhe.e.
and this is where the story gets interesting..i downed down two half glasses of amarula and baileys..and then some guys started playing cards and i joined...and this is wehre i was given 2 half glasses of JD on the rocks..hehee..
then the rules of the games changed..if we were to lose we had to drink..and since the game was new to me, i lost a few games and so i drank even more..after a while , i realised htat i was gonna be drunk..haha..i felt the room spinning like i was on a boat..and i wasn't able to stop laughing..but i was able to think clearly..so i continued playing and continued losing..hahaa.
that was the moment when zh said stg really lame, and so i SLAPPED him..haha..i knw it was wrong but it felt funny at that time so i didn't really care..and since zh was rather red and drunk at that time, he SLAPPED me BACK!!!hahaha..and i DIDNT care..i kept on laughing.ahaha..
and then zh suggested me slapping gloria and so I SLAPPED GLORIA..hahaa..
and believe it or nt, i felt no remorse..i kept laughing..hehe..

but that was where the fun part ended..i felt nauseous aft that n threw up numerous times..i had to lean on mark's shoulder as the world to me seemed to be spinning all the time..haha..he drank way more than me..and his threshold was way higher than mine..so he wasn't drunk even thought he finished 3/4 of the bottle while i only drank..um..i don;t know..a quarter??was it even a quarter??haha..
anyway, the good thing was that i didnt get a hangover and even though i was drunk, i still managed to know that a friend rolled off the bed!! and another one laughed in his sleep due to his drunkedness..hehe..

wel, that's by far the highlight of the trip and the next day was a trip to the underwater world and further trips ard the island before we boarded the ferry back here..
it was a fun trip filled with laughter and joy...but it'll be quite some time before i go on another trip to another island..enough islands for nw..hehe..

a new year with old resolutions....

the year changes and peoples' lives change.. the same thing plays on everybody's minds as they celebrate hte new year..and that is they hope that the new year bring them extra joy as well as better hopes for the future...
well, it seems not too long ago that i just started this extremely- decade long course and 2008 has just wheezed past and i haven't even had the chance to enjoy it and

suddenly *poof* its OVER!!!!!!!!

oh no, i'm gonna turn 22 this year..NOOOOOO!!!!

anyway, this year's celeb, oh wait, last year's end of year celebration was not as fun as i thought it would be....the countdown was so kinda boring.. initially i wanted to go to qb for a countdown with mark and others, but too bad..none wanted to come due to stupid on calls n bloody hosp lecturers who can't give us students a break!!

so in the end, i celebrated with my family at a countdown dinner and i had to admis, it was fun..cos our family won the most lucky draw prizes ever..with a new 8.3 mega pixel camera among them...

YAY!!!!

anyway, the new year has just landed in our laps and most of us have come up with new year resolutions..well, in order not to disappoint myself agn this year, i'd decided not to make any!!smart, ain't i!

well, i guess i have to be grateful for my life so far..with my family,and my great frens..u know who u are...2008 was a great year with its ups and downs..from friendships to relationships..well, that's one thing i hope will change..i know its for the better...

hmm..wat's wrong with me reminiscing..i miss all of my friends..n hope that they all will come back soon.. i shall quit reminiscing and learn some new things..
n the most imp thing is, learn to let go..like my frens say, there is no such thing as not being able to live alone..

hmm..i guess that;s true but it seems easier to cling on to the past, isn't it..
wel,, i promise i'll try...no matter how long it takes, i'll try to my very best...

a trip to the kampung!!!

sorry guys,i haven't been updating much...was busy with my exams after one another..and then i didnt have anything interesting to tell u guys!!hehehee..
but anyway, recently after the deepavali hols, we started our community med posting..that means we had to go stay in a kampung for a week n do a survey on them...our first thought was that AWW!!!!its goonnna suck!!!
but guess wat...
i did enjoy myself...

to tell u the truth, before going, my assumptions of a kampung were like this, no tv, no lights, no fans, toilets with no flush system or either outside the house.or u know the ones with half a door that doesnt cover ur top n bottom but only covers ur middle half??hahahha..that's how i imagined it all..i also tot that we had to sleep on the floor with no pillows and beds and stuff..so we came prepared with our pillows , blankets and other stuff....we also tot that we'd have to be on our best behaviour as this kampung ppl might not be as open minded as city ppl..i bet these thoguhts are probably wat u guys are thinking rihgt nw...ahhaha..

but guess wat!!! it wasnt' like tat...
well, on the day that we arrived, the children of the kampung with the adults welcomed us lavishly and made a big procession for us...wiht them hitting the kompang..very adorable and very touching..made us feel like we were some big shots..haha..


well, then they treated us to some kuih muih and not long after that, we were assigned to our individual mak and bapa angkats!! u see, when we stay in their house, we had to call them mak or abah like we're their own kids..so its really nice..

then, we went to our individual houses with some houses having 3-5 friends together..my mak angkat was a widow so 5 of us stayed with her..a little girl of abt 4 welcomed us into the hs and she was really adorable..whoever said that malays had to be brown is wrong..this girl is fairer than a fair chinese..here are some pics...she became my daughter instantly..kekeke..

well, my house had no ceiling fans at all but there was a small table fan in the hall and if u are in the dining room, u had to turn it to that side..but it wasnt; so bad as our room had another fan...
other frens' houses had no fans or lights at all in the rooms they were staying in..n the ibu bapa angkat were so kind that they slept without a fan and let them use it..probably they are used to it d... and there was a tv in the house..a very modern one in fact...anyway, if u think that we were gonnna get starved in the kampung, you're all wrong..

we were constantly fed from breakfast to lunch to tea to dinner to supper..my gosh..they kep feeding us as if they're so afraid that we would starve to death..


guess wat, some of the toilets had no lights but luckily mine had..haha..n there were no locks on the bathroom doors..u know wat the funny thing is?? the toiltets had locks but the bathrooms had no locks!!i mean, wat's the difference??n thom's toilet had no roof and since the bathroom had no lock, he kept jumping up and down while bathing hoping that no one would mistakenly open the door thinking there was no one in the toilet..haha...




we also learnt how to fish in the paddy fields!!!




mind u, leeches are everywhere!!!!lucky i didnt get any ...and if u're nt careful, u might fall into the water among the paddy..haha..just like wat happened to mark!!we also went fishing in the river and the water was really cold..brrr...to get to the river was like another jungle trekking session...would like to try it agn sometime..hehe..


since this wasnt the fruit season, so we werent so priviledged..however, they let us drink so many coconuts that i was so full....really..the coconuts are really sweet and juicy!!



on the last night, we held a little farewell dinner for them and some of the villagers performed as well...it was a very nice experience all in all..on the day that we left, all the villagers came out to send us away..it was all really sweet and our kak angkat even cried when we left..sigh..hehe..
so, kampung is not so bad aft all..the kids are all really young and some were really naughty but aft all ,they're just kids..they're all so naive and life over there is really stress free...u don feel burdened by anything at all...a nice place to relax in life..hehe..
