its the hols!!!!!!!!!ITS BEEN SUCH A LONG TIME!!!
anyway, this hols i visited out historical state....MALACCA!!! u know the state in which we have learned all our history!! the one where the parameswara stepped on and kicked a deer or a pelanduk or whatever..hahaa...well, that's where i went.......
the whole place is beautiful..a rich state cos most of their buildings were kept and looked after very well...but of course everything was kinda expensive cos of its tourism status...hey, PG is also a tourist state.hahaha..
well, on the first night we arrived there, we were rather tired cos eugene and i had travelled to ipoh and then mark drove to malacca, and since it was the day of agong's bday, it was fully packed and the hotels were fully booked and i ddint make any reservations earlier cos i was afraid we wouldnt go on that day...nvm then...by the time we reached malacca it was 7 and we went ard searching for hotels for the night...finally we found one and although it looked like a rather dingy hotel, it served enough for us for that night..we were desperate!!ahahha..
although there was a whole traffic diversion cos there was a car race going on, along with the traffic congestion, we still managed to find our way ard with no map in hand..ahhaa..we went to the food fair and sat on the mini eye of malacca...and walked along the entire river while ppl sat in the boats..hahahha...but it was fun....
the next day, we managed to find jonker street..it was really full of tourists and a hive of activity..reminds me of small chinatown...and we walked along fr the church to the a famosa fort adn took many pics..hahaa ..i mean, wat's a trip without a camera, isn't it?
anyway, i had to choose tthat day to wear heels and my feet were killling me.. we then quickly searched for a hotel to stay for the next few nights and put our stuff..and we found the tourism office and got a map!!!hahaha... we ate the famous chicken rice balls as well as the durian cendol...i didnt really like the durian cendol....durian smell was too strong..hahaha
that evening, we drove all the way to visit the mini malaysia but it was closed by the time we reached there..so we jsut went to the shopping malls...quite interesting, this "dahtaran pahlawan' cos it was two buildings taht were connected by a field...and below the field is also a shopping complex...so actually it was ONE whole big shopping complex...u prob don get me until u see it for urself....
we then spent the night walking ard and buying stuff fr jonker street..its like kl's petaling street.hahah...i bought a cute little fridge magnet that is shaped like a bowl with mini dumplings inside...really cute..
the next day we went to a famosa resort..saaw lots of parrots and fed camels and tigers..haha..reminded me of the safari in singapore...and then spent the whole afternoon at the theme park...pity the guys had to remove their shirts..
then we drove back to malacca at night and ate the malacca's famous satay celup...its none other than pg's lok lok except that it is dipped in satay sauce...
on the last day, we stopped at the mini malaysia and mini asean..all the kampongs of differents states of malaysia looked the same to me..haha..
on the way back to ipoh, we stopped by the highway restaurant at my insistence..hahaha..cos that was the first time i saw a highway restaurant.i know i must sound really stupid..ahhaha...
we reached ipoh ard 8.20 and rushed to take a bus back to pg at 8.30..ahhaha..but we had a real fun trip!!!
